NHIC hosted its inaugural Singapore Health Innovation Symposium 2018 on 21st August 2018. This symposium targeted clinicians, engineers and medical researchers with the objective of raising awareness for aspiring health technology start-ups and entrepreneurs.
Three funding agencies – National Health Innovation Centre Singapore (NHIC), Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG) – shared practical tips on technology entrepreneurship, ecosystem support and a $1.25 million funding programme called the Innovation to Startup (I2Start) for HealthTech innovations.
The inaugural event concluded satisfactorily with a positive audience turnout. The audience and the representatives from the three grant agencies had a stimulating dialogue about challenges of HealthTech start-ups and local ecosystem support to encourage such efforts.
