Jaryl Ng, PhD
Asst. Manager (MedTech)

Prior to joining NHIC, Jaryl served as a principal analyst at the Agency for Care Effectiveness (ACE), where he leveraged health technology assessment methodologies to identify and evaluate novel and emerging medical technologies as part of ACE’s horizon scanning efforts. Additionally, he was also involved in assessing various implants for subsidy consideration for the implant subsidy list. Before his tenure in ACE, Jaryl was a research fellow at the National Heart Centre Singapore, where he focused on translational research in cardiovascular diseases, with a focus on coronary artery disease. In this role, he collaborated with various multidisciplinary teams of clinical and scientific experts on various medical technology development projects, spanning from in vitro studies to animal testing. Throughout his career, Jaryl has extensive experience working with a diverse array of stakeholders across the medical technology ecosystem, including clinicians, scientists, manufacturers, regulatory bodies, and policy makers.
Jaryl holds a Ph.D from the National University of Singapore with research on developing an experimental and computational model to study the impact of coronary stenting on acute stent thrombosis and has completed a postgraduate module on the Singapore-Stanford Biodesign process.
