Innovation to Industry (I2I)
Co-development of a healthcare innovation with an industry partner
Aim
The scheme is for projects which have successfully completed I2D funding (or equivalent as deemed appropriate by NHIC) and which, in conjunction with an industry partner, require co-development in order for the industry partner to license the technology.
Application to this fund is by NHIC invitation only. Please contact your respective NHIC Cluster Manager for initial assessment of the feasibility of your proposal.

Eligibility
The Principal Investigator must hold a primary appointment in and under employment by public healthcare institution or academic medical school in Singapore. Project teams must have strong clinical representation. Collaborations with committed industry partner is required. The project team is required to submit a copy of the fully executed Option to Licence Agreement or equivalent between the Host Institution and the eligible industry partner within 3 months from the date of Letter of Award. It is recommended that discussion of the agreement commence early and finalise the terms prior to the evaluation panel meeting.
Funding quantum
This category will provide a funding quantum capped at S$300,000 (inclusive of max. 30% indirect costs) awarded to the host institution.
Funding duration
The funding support is up to 12 months.
