The National Health Innovation Centre Singapore (NHIC) provides a range of funding and support to enable your technology to expedite its speed to market. If you are looking for funding support, we have 3 funding schemes available – I2D, I2I and I2Start. You can seek more information through the shortcuts below. We also do offer pre-engagement services for application to our grants. For more information on pre-engagement, Intellectual Property protection or the commercialisation of your research, please contact us here.
I2D is a funding stream that covers the cost of development of a validated technology to a commercially-ready endpoint.
Applications must clearly illustrate the technical feasibility of the project and demonstrate potential for translation to a point where technology would be attractive to an industry partner or follow-on funder.
I2I is a follow-on fund from I2D, applicants can apply for this grant if they successfully complete an I2D grant for further fine tuning of the I2D project.
The project team should also have secured strong commercial interest in the technology.
This funding scheme streamlines the grant schemes of SMART, NHIC, and Enterprise Singapore.
Projects funded under this scheme will be sequentially funded by SMART, NHIC, and Enterprise Singapore upon successful application and delivery.
Applicants should have the intention of creating a start-up after NHIC I2D, clearly illustrate the technical feasibility of the technology, a defined go-to-market strategy and demonstrate the potential for translation to a point where technology would be attractive for spin out formulation.
